Cummins Barn
The ‘Cummins’ barn stood on our family’s original homestead, dating back to before Paul Sr. added the ‘G,’ establishing the Cummings name.
Paul Sr. Cummings
A hardworking ranch hand who saved enough to purchase land and begin raising cattle of his own in Smithville, Missouri. He later moved his family there, and this land remains where we operate today.

Little is known about this photograph beyond the fact that it shows Paul Sr. and his crew sharing a beer after a hard day’s work.
Paul W Cummings
Paul W was Paul Sr.’s only son, shown here with a steer at the fair. He shared the same love for livestock and, after earning a college degree, returned home to help his father run the ranch.

Paul W. Cummings helped his father run the ranch as he grew older, driving each morning from a small home in downtown Smithville, Missouri, to feed and care for the cattle, often bringing along his son, Paul V. Cummings. In the second image, Paul V. and two of his sisters are shown with their father, Paul W.

Paul Sr. shown with his wife Julia . Paul Sr was born in 1896 and passed in 1980. Julia was born in 1902 and passed in 1986.

Paul W and wife, Patricia
Paul W. is shown here with his wife, Patricia. He passed away on May 14, 2019, and was survived by Patricia, who still resides in one of the original homes on the farm. He was known as a devoted father, a respected man, and a steadfast basketball coach.
